Review: Barefoot Spa Professional Exfoliating Polish

I received these two packets of the Barefoot Spa Professional Exfoliating Polish in my Ipsy bag this month. While I normally hate getting foil packet type products in subscription service boxes, I was pleased to have received two. I had never heard of this brand before, but I did a bit of Googling and came across this product on the Freeman Beauty website. Now I love Freeman Beauty masks but this product, not too much.

When I initially put some of this on my hand to take pictures, I definitely liked the pretty light blue color of it, and it smelled fresh, like a spa. This does have shimmer in it, but once you use it on your skin and rinse it off, there is no trace of glitter.

Here is a description of this product taken from the Freeman Beauty website:

Our aquatic-inspired, shimmering body polish delivers gentle exfoliation for skin that’s rejuvenated and re-energized. Non-abrasive micro-granules buff away dead skin as Apricot Oil nourishes and sooths. Our triple-botanical ReCapture Complex helps eliminate toxins, restore essential nutrients, and reinvigorate with antioxidants to reduce surface roughness. Shimmering Mica enhances skin’s natural radiance.

Now when they say "non-abrasive micro-granules" they really mean it. The scrubbing particles are so tiny, there is hardly any manual exfoliation at all. I tried this product after I had used a hair removal cream on my legs because it seems to help me get rid of any hair left behind. I will admit, my skin did feel pretty soft after using this, but I really like a good heavy duty scrub since I tend to get pretty dry skin on my legs. This is probably good for people who have really sensitive skin that can't handle too much exfoliation.

One whole packet was enough for me to use on both of my legs, which I was pretty happy about. One of the packets had a coupon on the front for $2 off a Barefoot Spa Professional or Bare Foot product. The coupon also says you can find those brands at Walmart. A full size of this, which is 5.3 ounces, costs only $5.99. While I most likely will not purchase this particular product, I may try something else from the brand since it seems fairly inexpensive.

While this isn't a terrific product, I'm still happy Ipsy included it in my bag this month! I love trying out products I've never heard of and for only $10, you get some nice goodies!

FOTD: Graduation Party Makeup Look!

Hey guys! This past weekend a couple of my husband's and my friends graduated college and had some parties to go with it! I was only able to make it to one on Sunday and had work the other day. I wanted to show you guys what makeup I wore since I was happy with how it came out!

I started out doing my eyes first, so I took a little bit of the bareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer and blended that out all over my lids. A little side note, I'm not a huge fan of this stuff. My shadows crease on me within about 4 hours of applying. Just trying to use this up!

After priming, I decided I wanted to use this bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow Palette called The Star Treatment. I purchased this quite a while ago when Sephora had it on sale, but I think I've only used it once before!

The first color I took was the pretty gold shade called Extravagance (bottom row, last color) and placed that on the inner half of my lids. I then took the taupe color called Elitist (bottom row, third color) and blended that out really well on the outer half of my lids. After that, I went in with my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette and took the color Naked2 through my crease. I wanted to add a little more definition, so I took the bronze shade from the bareMinerals Palette called Ritzy (top row, last color) and used that to define the outer corners of my eyes and took a little through my crease. The last color I used was Carte Blanche (top row, third color) as a brow highlight.

After I was finished with the eyeshadow, I was debating whether or not to do a full face of makeup. We were going to be outside and while it wasn't too hot, it rained a little and rain always ruins my makeup. I just opted to conceal my dark under-eye circles first with the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in the Fair shade, then I took a little of the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in the 125 Very Fair shade just to brighten a little more. I set all the concealer with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in the Transparent shade and then I finished off the eyes with the Clinque High Impact mascara in 01 Black. I've been living this mascara by the way!

I was looking through my blushes and realized I hadn't used this Milani Baked Blush in the color Dolce Pink in a really long time. If I'm remembering right, I hadn't used this since my wedding and honeymoon back in September of last year! I decided to bust it out and swipe it lightly over my cheeks. Ready for the final look?!

Excuse the picture taking skills, I'm definitely not a selfie queen! Also, I forgot to picture what lip gloss I used. I used the NYC Liquid Lipshine gloss in the color Nude York City.

Oh, the chubbiness of my face! Geez, I'm so not used to taking pictures of myself. Anyways, I hope you all like this look, and to anyone who may have graduated recently or are graduating soon, I send lots of congrats! I'd never been to a graduation party before and I was pretty excited to be there with a bunch of our friends :)

Four or More TAG!

I came across this tag over at Kate Spitz' blog, and thought it was such a neat idea! If you have four or more of a product, that typically means you like it, right? I have four or more of so many different products, but I wanted to keep this a fairly short post.

The first products that came to mind when I saw this tag were my beloved bareMinerals Eyeshadows. Now I only have four pictured here, but I literally have almost 50 of these! That's including smaller containers that I've gotten from kits and everything.

It was hard to pick which colors I wanted to show because I love pretty much all the ones I have. Even though I love me some neutrals, I wanted to show some of the colorful ones that I love as well!

The first shade pictured is Coconut Palm, and it's such a pretty coppery shade that's amazing as a one shadow look!

Next up is Masquerade. It's so hard describing this because in person it's like three colors in one. It's like a blue-ish/teal duochrome with purple throughout. Such a beautiful color!

Then we have Vintage Ruby, which is probably one of my favorites in my whole bareMinerals stash! I like using this beautiful bronzey shade by itself on my lids, then blending it out in my crease. Love it!

Last color here is called Mystery. Like the name of this shadow, it's very hard to describe as well because of all the different colors in it. It definitely leans more purple, but there's some taupe in there along with some gold throughout.

As messy as these shadows can be because they're loose shadows, I love them regardless and will probably never run out of what I have because there's a ton of product, even in the smaller containers.

The next products I have four or more of are the Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoos. I actually have a few more shades, but these are my favorite ones.

First off, I did swatch these pretty heavily just they showed up in the pictures, but you can definitely wear them more sheer. Anyways, the first color that's my all-time favorite is Bad to the Bronze. My favorite way of wearing this is sheering it out over my lids, then using a lighter, matte brown shade buffed into the crease. I throw on some mascara and I'm good to go!

Next up is the Metal Color Tattoo in the shade Barely Branded. I actually have to be careful with this one because it can go on a bit patchy on my lids. I don't really like using this by itself, I typically use it as a base for other shadows when I want them to be a bit more shimmery.

Then we have a limited edition matte shade called Nude Pink. Depending on the light, I do see some pink, but I mostly see mauve tones on my lids. This Color Tattoo is amazing when using the matte shades in the Lorac Pro Palette! Everytime I want to use that palette, I bust out Nude Pink and have a nice matte eyeshadow look.

The last Color Tattoo is also a limited edition shade in Seashore Frosts. I don't even think this picture does this shade justice, because it's so darn beautiful in person! It's a blue/grey duochrome with a gold shift to it that is just stunning on the lids. I'll wear this by itself and then use a shade from the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette in my crease. If you can somehow get your hands on this still, get it! You won't be disappointed!

Now we have the Buxom Full-On Lip Polishes/Creams. While I love these lip glosses because they have some awesome colors, they are a bit sticky, so beware if you want to try these!

The first one I have is the Lip Cream in White Russian, which is described as a nude pink. Honestly, I only really got this because I heard a bunch of hype about it. I do like it alot more than I thought I would for some reason. I try not to buy things based on hype, but I'm happy I did and I get good use out of this.

The next one I have is the Lip Polish in the color Amber, which is a soft, shimmering peach shade. I love this color mainly in the Spring and Summer but it can be worn all year layered over colors.

The next one I have was from a kit I had bought quite a while ago, and I believe this is called a Full Color Gloss, only because it is more opaque than the other Buxom glosses. The shade name is called Ruby, and it's definitely a burgundy color that looks so beautiful, especially in the Fall!

The last one I have is a Lip Polish in the shade Candi. I can't find this shade on the Sephora site, so I'm not sure if they still make it, but it's a beautiful mauve-y pink shade.

I should also say, these glosses have a pretty strong tingly sensation, so if you don't like that effect, then you probably won't like these. Even though I love the ones I have, I probably won't repurchase any more only because there are so many good glosses at way better prices. These Buxom glosses typically cost about $20.

The last products here that I have four or more of are my very well loved Philosophy Lip Shines. I've raved about these for ages and I have way more than this, but again, I picked my favorites.

First up is Pomegranate Bubbly, which legit smells (and tastes) like fruity champagne. I love this color so much and while I mainly use it in the Fall, I bust it out once in a while in warmer months.

Next up is the one I wore on my wedding day, which is Raspberry Sorbet. This smells amazing and makes me wish I had a bowl of actual sorbet right now!

Then we have the Candy Hearts Lip Shine, which if I remember correctly, came in a kit from a while back. This is supposed to be pink bubbly scented, and I do agree with that. It does smell a bit like champagne.

The last one may seem like an odd color, but if you know me, you know I love the Ginger Bread Man scent in pretty much every Philosophy product out there! Trust me though, it doesn't show up that color on the lips. If you put a tinted balm on and this over top, it just gives a very glossy look to the lips.

So that's my post on the Four or More Tag! I'm not going to tag anyone specifically, but I would definitely love to see what you guys have four or more of!

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette: Look #2- Pretty in Purple

Hello everyone! As promised, here is the second look I created using the It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette. It's a tad out of my comfort zone since I prefer neutral looks, but I definitely like how it came out.

I primed my eyes first like always, and the first color I used is the shimmery purple color (bottom row, fourth one in) on the first half of my lid. I then took the matte periwinkle shade (next to the shimmery purple) and put that on the outer half of my lids. To blend out any harsh lines and to add a little bit of crease color, I took the matte light brown shade (top row, second color) just to smooth things out a bit. I finished off the eyeshadow look with the matte cream color on my browbone and to also blend out the other colors. For mascara, I used the Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes Mascara in the So Black! color. I'm still on the fence about this mascara because it looks nice in person, but in these pictures I feel it looks clumpy. Could just be my eyes though.

Anyways, I hope you like this look! Also, let me know if you want me to do another look with this palette. I've been having alot of fun with this little baby!

May 2014 Ipsy Bag

Hi guys! I received my Ipsy bag in the mail yesterday and I was actually pretty excited to see what I was going to get! I know I've stated before that I haven't been super happy with Ipsy lately, but this bag has redeemed itself a bit, so lets see what goodies I have!

The theme this month is called Beauty's Fresh Picks, and I must say, I'm kinda digging the bag! It's kinda this canvas type material that I can actually see myself using in daily life.

The first product I received is the Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask. I'm pretty happy I got this because I've been trying to take better care of my hair since I chopped it off. I really like how this smells too. It's like a vanilla latte, or something like that.

Next up we have the Olive Natural Beauty The Olive Lip Balm. If you know me, you know I can't get enough of lip balms. I like to try any kind, I'm not too picky. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of olive scented things, but this isn't an overbearing scent.

Then we have the Jersey Shore Sun Sans Tan Anti-aging Sunscreen. I'm a little 'meh' about this product, only because I tend to be picky with my sunscreens. I do love skincare, so I'm definitely willing to try this out and see if I like it.

I was pretty excited to try out the Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo in the #2 shades, which are Moonbeam and Unicorn, but I'm pretty unimpressed with this. It's not pigmented and feels very chalky when swatched. I don't even think this warrants a review or even a picture of swatches because they're that bad. I still have to try it out on my eyes though and use a good primer to really test it out.

The last product I received is the Barefoot Spa Professional Exfoliating Polish. These are in foil packet form, which I kinda loathe, but I did get two of them. After the horrible Winter we had here in Pennsylvania, I'm ready to scrub my skin and get it ready for Summer!

Overall, I'm happy this month. Looking at all the products that were given out, I might have preferred getting any of the makeup brushes, the Too Faced Bronzer or the Revlon Matte Balm instead of the sunscreen and eyeshadow I received. I can't complain too much though, because I'm spending only $10 a month when I'm getting some decent products. Lets hope next month is better though! I wanna be wowed man!

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette: Look #1- Everyday Neutral

Hi guys! In my review post of the It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette, I promised you some looks, so here is look #1! It's definitely a neutral look, as that's my comfort zone, but no worries, I did play with the purples and have a post of that look coming up!

The first thing I did was take the pretty coppery gold color (first color, bottom row) and placed that all over my lids. I then took the medium matte brown color (fourth color in, first row) and blended that all into my crease. For some extra definition, I took the bronze shade (second color, bottom row) in my outer v just to make it look a little extra special. I then took the cream highlight shade on my browbone and around all the colors to blend out any harsh lines. I finished off the look with Covergirl's NatureLuxe Mousse Mascara in the Very Black color. They don't make this mascara anymore, but I really, really like it! It gives my lashes a natural look that I just love!

Hope you all enjoyed this look!

Review: It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette by BH Cosmetics

Hey everyone! In my last haul post, I showed you guys that I had purchased the It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette from BH Cosmetics, and a lovely follower of mine wanted to know my thoughts! I've given this palette a few days of trying out, and so far I do like it! I will be posting looks I've done in separate posts too, this is just my review.

As stated on the BH Cosmetics website, the description of this palette says, "The It's Judy Time Eyeshadow palette is a gorgeous collection of 12 eyeshadows perfect for daytime or date night! Ranging from pretty neutrals to jewel tones of blue and purple, this collection of colors, hand picked by famed Beauty Guru It'sJudyTime, features satin, shimmer and matte finish eyeshadows."

I agree with this description! There are amazing neutrals and the blues and purples on the bottom row are beautiful without looking too scary. From what I can tell, 5 are matte then only one or two really are shimmery while the rest are a satin finish. I honestly think that's a good mix because not everyone wants a palette full of overly shimmery shadows.

These swatches are of the first row. As you can tell, the lightest cream shade pretty much matches my skin even though I tried building it up! That cream color, the light brown under it, the darker reddish brown (second from the bottom) and the medium brown above that are all matte shades. The other satin colors can also be used as crease colors, but I usually prefer using matte shades for my crease.

These swatches are of the second row, which is probably my favorite row of the palette! The only other matte shade here is the lilac-y periwinkle shade (second from the bottom). At least on me it shows up matte, because I see no shine or shimmer when I look at or swatch it. I absolutely love the copper-y gold shade at the very top and the bronze shade right underneath that! Both make for excellent lid shades. The burgundy/brown shade (third from the top) shows up so different when swatched. In the pan, it definitely looks like a dark purple/burgundy, but looks like a deep brown when you swatch it. I'm definitely a fan of the pops of color that was put in this palette, but like I said above, they're not scary at all on the lids! I already did a look with the two purple shades, but I have yet to figure out what to do with the dark blue shade.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this eyeshadow palette! It's an awesome deal too. It retails for $19.95, which I think is reasonable. I did happen to purchase mine at $14.95 on sale, plus I found a 10% off code to use on my whole BH Cosmetics purchase. I also use Ebates, so I got an extra percentage of cash back sent to my PayPal account. As of writing this post, (May 13, 2014) this palette is currently on sale for $12.95! This palette is supposedly limited edition, so if you want this little baby, then snatch it up! I definitely recommend it for an everyday neutral palette as well as a going out palette!

Have you tried this palette out? If you have or not, what do you think about it?

Beauty Haul! Featuring BH Cosmetics, Rite Aid, Ulta & More!

Hey everyone! Taking pictures of this haul make me realize I got alot more than I thought! Since I did pick up quite a few things here over the past couple months, I think it's time for a spending ban. I'm giving myself til August 1st, which is just under 3 months. Anyways, lets see what damage I did! ;)

First up is BH Cosmetics! I haven't purchased anything from BH since September of 2012, so I decided it was time for me to buy a few things. The first product I really had my eye on was the Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow Palette. I saw all the prettiness that was inside this palette when it first came out and knew it had to be mine one day! Also, I didn't take any pictures of inside the palettes I bought, so if you'd like to see a full review on anything please let me know!

The next product I purchased is the It's Judy Time Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette. When I heard that Judy from It's Judy Time on YouTube was making her own palette, I was a bit skeptical honestly. I didn't think it was going to be that special, but when she featured it in one of her videos, I oohed and ahhed throughout the whole video! I'm super excited that I was able to get my hands on this since it is supposedly limited edition.

I had been thinking about getting some new brushes for my collection and saw this 11 piece Pink-A-Dot Brush set and thought it was adorable! I haven't used these yet, I even still have to wash them, but they seem incredibly soft and good quality.

BH had this promotion where if you spent $15, you had your choice of one of the three California Palettes for only $4.50! I decided on the San Francisco Palette, as it seemed to be the most neutral. The other two were just not my style. I even did a little searching online and found  10% off code to use on this purchase and saved an extra almost $6! So, basically I got this little palette for free! Plus, I also use Ebates, so I got some cash back as well. Can't beat that! Ebates is awesome! If you do alot of online shopping like I do, you link your PayPal account to your Ebates account, and everytime you shop online, you click the Ebates button and you automatically get a certain percentage of cash back, which really comes in handy!

Next up, I have one item I purchased from Amazon. This is the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. I had gotten an email from Amazon recommending some products to try and this was one of them. I have incredibly large pores that get super clogged really easily so I'm hoping this does something for me. It was also pretty inexpensive as well.

I was at Walmart with my husband and mother-in-law one day and while they were getting what they wanted, I pretty much stayed in the beauty area. Maybelline is probably my favorite drugstore brand, and they had a $2 off coupon if you bought two products so I picked up their newest mascara, Pumped Up Colossal in the Glam Black color and a Master Hi-Light Blush in the color Pink Rose. I've been hearing good things about these blushes so I'm excited to try it. Haven't heard much yet about the mascara, but I do have high hopes as they are my favorite brand for mascaras, usually.

Next up is Rite Aid! I was able to get to a Rite Aid when a few of the brands there were 40% off so I kinda went a little crazy! I ended up getting two of the Maybelline limited edition Eyestudio quads in Taupe Tease and Take It Off. If I'm not mistaken, these quads are part of their Spring nude line, but don't quote me on that. Love these quads and I want them all!

Wet N' Wild was not on sale, but I had a $1 off coupon on any of their products so I picked up one of their limited edition 8-pan palettes in Flirting at the After Party. I was so torn on either this one or the other neutral one they have but decided on this since I have so many neutrals in my collection. I've already used this once and I do like it, but I'm not in love with it.

L'Oreal was also 40% off so I picked up their Voluminous Butterfly Mascara in the Blackest Black shade and a Colour Riche Eyeshadow quad in Cupa Joe. I always hear that there are MAC dupes in this palette, but I'm not a MAC girl so I can't say for sure. I'm super excited to try the mascara because I've heard some pretty good things about it!

Some time after Rite Aid's 40% off sale, Ulta had a 40% off sale on certain brands. Physician's Formula is rarely on a good sale and I really wanted to try their Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum. Anything that claims it can boost my lashes instantly, I'm all over. I've been very curious to try this and I'm excited to see if it lives up to that claim.

Of course I had to get me some more Maybelline! Since they were also 40% off, I picked up another one of the Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser, but this time I got the Brightener shade. I typically use the fair shade, but this one is a tad bit lighter therefore it makes my undereyes seem brighter. I now have quite a few backups of this stuff so I'm set for a while.

I also wanted to try out their Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in the Ivory shade. They were sold out of the one I actually wanted, but this seems light enough to have a brightening effect on my pale skin.

I also wanted to pick up another Elixir Gloss and I got the color Signature Scarlet. I already have tried this and it's really pretty! It's not orange at all and is almost the perfect red for me. I have a hard time finding a red that suits me because I'm so pale and my skin is already pretty red, but this one is nice! I definitely want to pick up more of these babies!

These last products I purchased where I work! I've realized that I mentioned me working in retail but I never said specifically where. Not sure why, I guess maybe I thought I wasn't allowed to say where I work, but it's not like I'm giving the specific store I work in. Anyways, I actually work at Macys! Twice a year, Macys has their Friends & Family event. During that time, they have employee appreciation where instead of receiving our regular discount, we get 30 or 40% off of cosmetics and fragrances depending on the brand. This is really the only time I'll buy skincare or makeup there because hey, a girl likes a good deal!

Now I have two separate pictures because I made two separate purchases within that Friends & Family period. My first purchase was the Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream. I have quite a few samples of this and just love it, but I thought I remembered having a full size already, yet I can't find it to save my life. I decided to just buy another one since with all my discounts, I only paid about $13. This product costs $30 without tax, so I think that's a good deal! I love the girl who works at the Origins counter and she said since I was buying skincare, I got some deluxe samples of the Checks and Balances face wash, Make a Difference Plus Treatment and a GinZing Eye Cream! I love samples, so I was thrilled.

Hence the reason for me making another purchase! I had read alot about the GinZing Energy- Boosting Moisturizer, but was afraid to try it because I thought maybe it would be too thick for my oily skin. I tried it out first, and am actually happy to report it's a gel like consistency that isn't very thick at all, but still feels nice on the skin! For my samples, I picked A Perfect World Antioxidant Cleanser, and another Make A Difference Plus and GinZing Eye Cream. With all my discounts, I only spent a little under $9 for a product that's normally $26.50.

Since I was on an eye cream kick, I decided to buy one of my favorite night time eye creams, and that's Clinque's All About Eyes. I purchased the larger size that typically retails for $50, but they do have a smaller one that's half the size for $30. The larger size to me is a better deal, plus you don't need to use alot at all. With all my discounts, I ended up paying about $16. Not bad! I usually don't buy this much during the employee appreciation, but I wanted to stock up on things I wanted so I won't have to later on.

I hope you all enjoyed this haul! It'll probably be my last one for a while unless I run out of things I need, which I don't really expect to happen anytime soon lol

Have you purchased any beauty products lately?

April 2014 Empties!

April wasn't that great empties wise. The few months prior were much better, but I still want to show you what I did end up going through! Lets get to it!

These first items I didn't actually use up, they broke and basically were not usable anymore. The first product that broke is the NYX Mosaic Powder Blush in the color Dare. I received this in an Ipsy bag and to be honest, I didn't really like it. I used it a few times and it just wasn't the right color for me. I was going through my makeup drawers, saw this was busted and didn't really care. I'm glad I could free up some space though!

I had already posted about this from my last Ipsy bag, and this Elizabeth Mott Pop! Goes the Shadow in the color Champagne was sent to me already broken. I did email them and they said they were sending a replacement, but they sent a BH Cosmetics trio THAT I ALREADY HAD! I thought I was getting a replacement of this, but it's whatever. I'm honestly not too happy with Ipsy right now, so we'll see what I get in this month's bag. If I'm not happy again, I'll probably be cancelling and look for something different!

I purchased the LA Splash Cosmetics Illuminating Highlighting Eyeshadow in the color Exposed probably over a year or so ago. I can't remember if I already posted about this, but when I was checking out at Ulta, the girl who was ringing me up accidentally dropped this eyeshadow. I didn't think much of it at first, but when I got home, it was completely shattered. I was kinda upset, but I bought this on clearance for probably $3 or $4, so I still wanted to use it. I actually loved this eyeshadow as an inner corner highlight! It made my eyes look so bright and awake, but I figured it was time to get rid of it because it was fairly messy with it being broken.

I used up a little sample of the Makeup For Ever High Definition Primer. I used this primer on my wedding day and was really happy with my makeup look. I'm not sure what happened, but I didn't like this towards the end of its days. It didn't feel great on my skin and made my foundation look patchy. Definitely won't be purchasing this, ever.

I'm throwing out the Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation in the color Classic Ivory light 2. When I first purchased this, I kinda liked it. It matched my skin and felt like any other mineral foundation I tried. When I went to use it one time, it looked so orange and nasty, I decided it was time to get rid of it. While I did enjoy this, I much prefer the bareMinerals Matte powder foundation.

I finally used up the On10 lip balm in the Orange scent. I love these lip balms so much and I really wish Sephora would bring them back. I had purchased two sets quite a while ago of these during Christmas, and they're just great. They make my lips feel soft and hydrated, and they smell amazing!

This is a weird empty, but I used up a Super Kelp supplement. The main reason I used this was because I feel like I've had a sluggish thyroid and kelp has one of the highest sources of iodine, which is said to help with thyroid issues. Honestly, I probably have to see a doctor about it because I've been gaining weight like crazy, yet I don't eat alot and I'm pretty active when I'm at work since I'm in retail. That might've been TMI, but hey, it's all good. All in all, I didn't notice any difference while taking this, but before I do see a doctor, I'm going to try some natural remedies first.

I used up my beloved Hemp Hand Protector from The Body Shop. I've talked about this before and it's my favorite hand cream, especially in the Winter. This stuff is amazing if you work retail, in a restaurant, or a hospital/doctors office since you have to wash your hands a ton. This stuff lasts through multiple hand washings and you don't even need alot for it to work. Amazing stuff right here!

Last empty I have is The Body Shop's Spa Wisdom Polynesia Lime & Coconut Shower Gel. I purchased this when it was on clearance because it smelled amazing! That's really the only thing I liked about this shower gel. It had little scrubbing bits in it which did help with some exfoliation, but it didn't seem to clean very well. I love alot of their other shower gels and creams though, so I'll definitely repurchase them sometime in the future!

That's everything I used up! I'm starting to use up alot of little samples I have now, so I hope you guys don't mind if I feature them in these empty posts! What did you use up last month?

April 2014 Favorites!

Hey everyone! I know my favorites post is going up a bit late and I apologize for that! I've been pretty busy with work and I typically have alot to do on my days off, so blogging kinda fell off the priority list. This month should be better though, so lets get into what I was loving last month!

Starting off with hair, I've been loving my Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Cream. After I finished up the crappy Aussie product I was using, I saw this hiding in my cabinet and snatched it right out to use. I did a post here quite a while ago, and I still love it. This makes my hair less tangled and it feels so smooth and soft. I recently told you guys that I chopped off four inches of my hair, so I'm trying to be really good to my hair so it grows out happy and not sad and dry.

Since I did chop off my hair, I've been wearing it down once in a while, and I typically straighten it when I do wear it down. The Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Flat Iron Protector is fricken awesome! I can tell that it's really protecting my hair from the heat of my flat iron and it keeps my hair straight too! When I straighten my hair, it can sometimes start to get wavy throughout the day, but I swear this stuff helps with that amazingly well. I probably only straightened my hair twice last month, but I still wanted to mention that this product is an amazing heat protector. Plus, it's very inexpensive when you purchase it from Walmart.

Onto the one body product I loved! The Body Shop's Cocoa Butter Creamy Body Wash is fantastic! I've had pretty dry skin lately and this stuff helps my skin feel really soft and hydrated. I also love that this doesn't get super foamy, but it's a nice creamy lather that gets the job done. I will say though, I don't smell much cocoa butter in it. Honestly, I smell shea butter more, but that's ok for me, since shea butter smells really fresh and clean.

Whenever I wore a full face of makeup, I loved using the Almay Oil-Free Makeup Remover Towelettes. I think these makeup remover wipes are probably the best I've ever tried! They're 100% fragrance free, so they're great for my sensitive skin, and they remove makeup like a gem, probably because they're so moist (hate that word, but you get what I'm saying!). I do still use a separate remover for my eyes, then use this wipe on my face. These wipes don't burn or sting either. Definitely gonna have to buy again once I use up everything else I have.

I've been so obsessed with the Maybelline The Elixer lip glosses, and the color I've been loving is called Rose Redefined. This is such a perfect dusty rose-y pink shade, and it's just amazing. I'll probably end up doing a review on these glosses because I have a few others that I love too!

Last favorite is the Stila Artful Eye Collector's Edition Vol. 3. Now I purchased this on Sephora when it was on clearance, so I highly doubt it's still available. I just have to share this because.........

LOOK HOW BEAUTIFULLY PIGMENTED THESE ARE! Gosh, I've been so in love with this little palette and I wish I could find more! I love using the lightest shade, called Light Apricot, all over the lid and any of the other colors on the outer half of my lid. I use a different shade in another palette for my crease that's matte. I wish the second picture of swatches really showed how beautiful these colors are in person. Nifty little palette right here!

That is everything I've been loving! What were some of your favorites from April?

Also, I hope you guys like the new layout of the blog! I keep playing around with it, but I like how it looks now. I may keep tweaking things so I hope you don't mind! :)
